Do you believe in faith? In some divine force which has everything about us written down before it even happens?
Do you believe in soulmates? In the fact that we all have just one person who is destined to be
ours, no matter what? That everyone we meet before them is just a preparation for what comes next?
That all the people before our soulmate are just our teachers, the ones who help us learn valuable lessons and the ones who get us ready for the one who will be ours forever?
I know I do. Don’t get me wrong—this doesn’t mean I’m trying to tell you that you have no impact on your life whatsoever.
Not me telling you that you don’t have free will or that your choices don’t affect your future because that is far from the truth.
It’s just that I believe that everything happens for a reason. That everyone has a purpose in our lives.
That everything that we experience is there for a bigger cause.
I believe that sometimes, there is a difference between wanting and actually needing someone.
That there are times when we go after some people and things that aren’t good for us, without even being aware of it.
I believe that God always has perfect timing and a plan which we usually can’t even perceive.
That we are meant to lose some people in order to get what and who we deserve.
And the same goes for love. I believe that somewhere, out there, there is a man who is your match made in heaven.
The man you will spend the rest of your life with, and the man you’ll love more than you could ever imagine yourself loving another human being.
Even though the thought of this unknown man is kind of scary. At the same time, it is pretty comforting as well. And you know why?
Because it means that all those guys from your past weren’t your soulmates and that there is absolutely no reason for you to still allow the memory of them to consume you.
It is useless for you to think about what might have happened if any of them had stayed in your life.
For you to be overwhelmed by all the should haves and could have beens because if some things were supposed to play out differently than they did, they would have.
Yes, it is that simple.
Whoever left your life didn’t have a purpose in it anymore. Whomever you lost wasn’t meant to be yours.
None of the men from your past were supposed to be yours forever because if they did, they would stick around.
Remember—you can never lose the man who is meant to be with you.
Yes, I know that my words won’t magically heal your broken heart or make you forget all about that dude that hurt you.
They won’t make you recover or feel better overnight, but it is definitely a relief knowing that you basically got a lot when you lost some people.
You don’t see it now, but the truth is that on many occasions, faith saved you from deeper misery by taking someone away from you.
That many times, you dodged a bullet when you lost someone you thought you needed.
It is comforting to know that a day will come when you’ll realize why it never worked out with any of these men.
A day when you’ll understand that some people leaving you was actually the best thing that could have ever happened to you.
That it was not a curse but a true blessing.
It is nice to know that a guy who has everything you’re searching for is patiently waiting for you.
That somewhere out there exists your missing piece of the puzzle and your other half.
You might not believe me now, but this man will appear even if you decide to give up on love all together.
He will find his way to you when you least expect him to come.
When he comes, he will come to stay, and all of a sudden, everything will make perfect sense.
Just like that, you’ll understand that everything that has happened to you had the purpose of leading you to this moment.
That all the events in your life led you to the man who will glue your broken heart back together and heal you once for all.
To the man who is meant to be yours always and forever.
