The strange things we do when we are in a relationship

It’s been a few months that you are in a couple and you catch yourself adopting strange behaviors: sometimes infantile, sometimes naughty, they always confuse you a little afterwards.

Love makes you stupid!

This adage so prevalent ” love makes stupid ” is true, you can confirm it now!

Indeed, when we are in love, we have a tendency to become stupid, to exclaim, to mock ourselves for a yes or a no. The state of love amplifies this tendency to regression because the state of love immerses us in a state of fusion-passion with the other. A state that looks singularly like the fetus that we all experienced when we were in the belly of our mother, warm, safe and surrounded by love.

Being particularly good, especially if we think we have found the soulmate, who understands us and will always be there for us. As our mother was when we started in life. This love situation that we are experiencing therefore strongly returns us to this previous state-a sort of lost paradise-and it is this resonance that amplifies the amorous state. We have the feeling to find this original paradise. So we feel so well, in such affective security that we think that everything is allowed. The other loves us as we are, unconditionally and we take the opportunity to overcome the barriers of social restraint by being fully self, with all our childish and childishness.

How do these strange things manifest themselves?

They are manifested by behaviors that seem odd or even stupid to outsiders. In fact, we are like children. We are constantly amazed by each other and by all that is happening around us. We are in a state of innocence.

We call them by lots of little incongruous nicknames: “chick”, “pig”, “chicken”, “doe”, “flea” etc.
The animal names are very pleasing. Maybe because our animal part is waking up. It is also likely that these little names seem more tender, more familiar, easier to tame than the names of people who are too “adults”, too “serious”.

The spirit of seriousness is banned when one is in love.

We embrace each other, we kiss everywhere, without stopping. In the intimacy but not only: the street, the shops, the friends, the family have the chance to see this show honeyed and silly. Modesty no longer embarrasses; there is no shame in over-affirming one’s happiness. We imagine and we are convinced that people are delighted to participate in this happiness spread in the public square. The crowd never tires of admiring us. We are a model of love that makes you dream.
In short, a nascent couple totally egocentric and megalomaniac.

We say nonsense all the time. Our critical sense is paralyzed, in any case, in the company of the beloved. From morning to night, our mutual foolishness makes us laugh.

We over-communicate: by texting, by email, by phone. As soon as we feel like it, we pass on everything that goes through the head to the chosen one. Whether it’s a declaration of inflamed love, a joke or a trivial question, everything is important and must be said on the spot. Passion disobeys patience.
