Deciding when to get married and start having babies can be a stressful decision, as well as a vitally important one to a great many people. There are a lot of factors to consider like family history (everyone on mom’s side got married by age 19 except for Aunt Jennifer, and no one talks about her), career goals, housing goals and—of course—the person we’re supposed to meet and marry by the scheduled date and age we’ve mentally selected. If we don’t have a boyfriend by age 37, then we are doomed to be another Aunt Jennifer! Or if he doesn’t meet his dream girl by age 40, then he’ll just be a confirmed bachelor for the rest of his life and eat microwave dinners every night by himself.
And then once we’ve found our mate and secured them firmly with a ring and a large ceremony, we need to decide when we want to start having babies, since that’s another equally heavy decision. He’ll probably want a say in it too, which could throw our carefully laid out plans out the window. Or maybe it’s us who have decided to get married young, but we want to wait several more years to have a baby. Add in the zodiac calendar, and there is an awful lot of data to process. No worries; we’ve combined the two questions for convenience sake.
Alrighty—so when we go shopping for a potential life partner, one of the things we look at is their Zodiac sign. Filed under Water Signs are Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. These guys are the emotional members of the Zodiac calendar, more in tune with themselves than some of the other signs. According to Astrology Zodiac Signs, “This is the element of constant movement, but slow and steady, swirling inside each of us and holding on to its mystery. This is the element of conception and death, of illusions and fairytales, holding the secret to our Soul – its beginning and its end.”
Cancer reigns from June 21 to July 22 and tends to be moody, highly imaginative, pessimistic, manipulative, loyal, tenacious, sympathetic and persuasive, so these guys will likely get whatever it is that they want. Which means that by their early 20s—even as early as just 20—they will get married and start having lots of babies.
Your Tango notes, “Cancer, you are probably the only sign who can do this, but you are the type of person who believes that when you know, you know. You feel like you’ve already found your soulmate—and you probably have—so it’s not uncommon for you to start thinking about marriage and maybe even babies at a very young age; like, younger than most people could imagine for themselves.”
Scorpios arrive on the scene between October 23 and November 21. They are always in demand, often taken for granted. This can lead to some relationship issues further down the line. Due to the extremes of Scorpio’s nature, the best age to get married is in their mid-40s, but the time to have that first baby is age 27. According to Cosmopolitan, “You are passionate, intensive and possessive. But you find yourself torn between two extremes, on one hand you can intensely connect with your partner, while on the other you can disconnect just as fast. It may be due to your insecurities, trust and abandonment issues. If you work on your insecurities, then you can have a healthy and happy relationship at any age.”
Pisces swims in between February 19 and March 20. Children will love the stories told by a vocal creative Pisces parent no store-bought books for this family. As a spouse though, the Pisces member will be a bit of a trial for the more grounded and scheduled partner. Pisces will be ready to settle down for marriage in their mid-20s and have a baby by 28-30. As per Cosmopolitan, “Pisces have a rich (read: imaginative) inner world. And while that’s a lovely trait, losing yourself in thought can make a long-term commitment difficult. That is, unless you find someone who fully appreciates your tendency to check out. Once you do, a lifelong connection can be made.”
The Fire signs are Aries who begins spring and the Zodiac calendar, Leo who is fixed and matches the heat of summer with an equal intensity, and Sagittarius who is mutable or go on intense adventures all over the world. These guys have almost inexhaustible energy levels, and when they do run out of fuel, they collapse in dramatic style. According to Astrology Zodiac Signs, “This is the element that represents energy itself, and even though there is a lot of earthly energy in the element of Water, it cannot be compared with the amount of energy that lives in the Sun, even though they might be equally important to the human race.”
Aries arrives on the scene between March 21 and April 19. They tend to lead with their heads (even physically), and they are excellent multitaskers. This is good news for parenthood. But Aries is also a tad immature until they’ve explored the world a bit, so the ideal age for marriage is the mid-30s, though they are perfectly capable of having a baby at 19 and trotting the little guy across the world with them. As per Your Tango, “This is an optimal time for you because you’ll have finished with your wild years of doing stupid stunts and getting in trouble, but now you’ll be able to see the world and do fun things with your spouse before settling down and starting a family.”
Leo arrives between July 23 and August 22. Leo is comfortable being on their own and being the star of their own social circles for years before they finally decide to settle down and start a family. Thus, your ideal age to get married will be somewhere between 35 and 45, while you can start having babies at about 33. According to Bustle, “You are all about long-term relationships, as long as you’re treated very well. ‘So it may take a while to find a partner to meet your high standards,’ Allen says. This can mean getting married later in life, especially if you don’t work to speed up the process.”Featured Today
Sagittarius rules the stage from November 22 and December 21. They value freedom and adventure more than anything and will have a hard time actually settling down because of this. Marriage won’t likely happen until your mid-30s, but you could have a baby anytime after 26 since your sense of humor will help you handle that change. Astrologer Gupta Blog says, “Sagittarians are by nature very adventurous. They like to travel a lot. The idea of having a baby may scare them as they have to be tied to their family. You would probably plan to have a baby at the age of 26. It will obviously be a planned pregnancy. Gradually you will tone down your adventurous nature and you will start taking care of your family.”
The Earth signs consist of Capricorn who is responsible and fundamental, Taurus who is secure and unmovable, and Virgo who is fluctuating and very detail oriented. All three are hard working and can be relied upon to get the job done well.
According to Astrology Zodiac Signs, “The element of Earth is the sole purpose of all elements since it represents a basis for each of them, for our existence, and something we all want to accomplish—materialization of our desires. This is a somewhat complicated element because it is stiff and unmovable, especially when a person has a lot of planets in it, but not enough of them in the element of Air to balance it out.”
Capricorn shows up between December 22 and January 19. They can work on that in a relationship, however, if they are really connected with their partner and settled in for the long haul. You’ll likely get married in your mid-20s and have a baby at 21. As per Astrologer Gupta Blog, “A Capricorn is a home bird and respects tradition and customs. You love your family and matured enough to handle a family with all the responsibilities. You will get married and plan your baby in early twenties. This does not overwhelm you as you have superb qualities of a mother and you are highly disciplined.”
Taurus is born between April 20 and May 20. They don’t like change—which can throw off a more spontaneous spouse—but children thrive on set routines and often don’t handle sudden changes very well either. Thus, a Taurus will likely get married around 25 and have their first baby at the age of 22, whether they are married or not apparently. According to Cosmopolitan, “You are way more grounded than Aries. You want security and stability in life and your relationships. And you’re automatically likely to wait until you find someone who gives you all of these things. Go ahead and get married young if that’s where you are at life. You won’t regret it, in fact, it’ll probably help you grow as a person.”
Virgo appears on the scene between August 23 and September 22. They are practical, and as long as their spouse and children can be trained properly, their house will always be neat and very organized. They will likely get married in their mid-20s (definitely by 25) and have a baby by their mid-30s. The Mind’s Journal notes, “We all know you are cautious about everything in life. You want things to be absolutely perfect. Marriage is definitely a very crucial issue. But it’s not that hard either. Sometimes, you need to trust in yourself and just take the call. Feel free to get married in the late 20s.”
The Air signs are Libra who is cardinal and very well known in social circles, Aquarius who is fixed and very smart but not always very verbal, and Gemini who is mutable and constantly changing their mind or mood, similar to how someone changes clothes or smoothie flavors.
The Air signs find themselves tending to shy away from all that romance nonsense until they fall head over heels in love with that one special someone. Despite their communication abilities, these signs aren’t always the most decisive. As per Astrology Zodiac Signs, “The element of Air gives us room to breathe, widens our lungs, and with them, opens our Soul to personal freedom. All signs that belong to this element have a strong need to feel liberated and free.”
Libra shows up to the party between September 23 and October 22. They can be a bit inconsistent and very indecisive. Thus, the ideal age for when Libra will get married will be in your early 20s, but you likely won’t have your first baby until age 29.
According to Your Tango, “Libra, you’re a simple, straightforward kind of person. That means you don’t like beating around the bush when it comes to doing things that you want to do. So, when it comes to getting married, you want to do it when you feel like it, not when someone says you should. And for someone like you—someone who is pretty amazing at being an adult and making the right decisions—it makes sense to get married young.”
Aquarius sneaks into play between January 20 and February 18. They are often described as quirky, which suits raising children perfectly. Kids will see their differences and roll with them. Due to their communication difficulties, Aquarius likely won’t get married until your mid-40s to mid-50s, but you are perfectly capable of having your first baby at age 34. So, pros and cons there. You will be an exciting parent. Romper says, “Additionally, Aquarius are often temperamental, but this might work in your favor down the line. If you decide to have kids, consider waiting until you’ve gotten a few life experiences crossed off your bucket list.”
Gemini arrives between May 21 and June 20. They can adapt and exchange ideas very quickly, which is handy for relationships and parenting. Unfortunately for Gemini, you are also keen on avoiding fully tying yourself down. Thus, you’ll likely get married in your mid-30s and have your first baby at 33. According to Bustle, “Geminis love themselves a relationship, but also despise boredom. If you’re not with the right person, this can be a disastrous combo. If you cannot reconcile all of your needs in one partner, then you may have more than one relationship or decide to be single and keep yourself busy with work or creativity.”
Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces are all on a pretty even keel when it comes to tradition. They respect it. They like—no—they love it. They are usually tight-knit with their families and enjoy the sense of community that belonging to a church or another local organization brings. Water signs adore having stability in their life. For that reason, the tradition of marriage before babies is a fixed point on their outline for life. Pisces spends a lot of time and intention focusing on commitment, as relayed by Trusted Psychic Mediums. They need to feel confident that they have the right partner they can willingly commit to before lending an even bigger commitment to a child.
Sagitarrius just can’t imagine locking themselves into marriage; they don’t believe wedded bliss is the only kind of bliss. The Archer needs time and space to grow and figure out who they are in a spiritual sense. The world is their oyster, and they aren’t in any rush to give up that precious gift. According to Your Tango, “Sagittarius doesn’t see herself ever getting married because to her, marriage means losing her freedom and herself… Even if she never actually settles down and gets married, she likes the thought of having stories of wild experiences with her BFFs instead of with a partner.”
Aquarius is perfectly okay with being alone throughout their life. As per Your Tango, “Aquarius’ is said to be the number one rule breakers.” In a world where having kids seems like a rule, every 20- to 30-something is expected to follow, Aquarius can find themselves feeling like an outcast amongst most of their family and childhood friends. Never fear, we all grow up and find out that our vibe really does tend to attract our tribe. Even if Aquarius settles down with a partner, they are more like to seek out a match that is keen on exploring the world more than exploring parenthood.
Leave it to the ever-in-flux Scorpio to surprise us. Relationship Rules notes, “As a Scorpio, you are fully capable of having more than 6 children. You thrive in big families because you have so much within you that you have to give. And you always make sure that all your kids will be loved equally.” Scorpio is never dull, so it shouldn’t shock anyone that they would want a house full of rowdy little ones to brighten their day. Hey, it’s not for everyone, but from the way things are looking, big families seem to be coming back in style these days.
